Mr. John Alt
21/04/1940 - 28/08/2024 Our beloved John passed away on August 28th 2024 surrounded by family who came from near and far. He is survived by his wife Lise Lemay, his daughter Lysa (her children: Jeremy, Sasha), his son Jean-Marc (Stéphanie, and their children: Mishka, Tristan and Liam), his brother Francois, and his sister Anne-Marie (Terry). John also leaves nieces and nephews, and is predeceased by his parents and most recently his brother Andrew.
Anyone who knew John would attest to his contagious zest for life --he was always interesting and interested! John's curiosity and fearlessness brought him and his family to unexpected places, and this trait spilled into his children and grand-children. John loved good food, good company, good conversation and good jokes. His interests were varied but the ones that endured his long and interesting life were motorcycles, food, travel, history, jazz, rugby, reading and endless crosswords. John faced many challenges in the later years of his life and he braved them with patience and perseverance. John often reminded us 'tempus fugit' and he would be the first to say that his 84 years with us flew by.
To honor John's wishes, there will be no funeral service. We invite you to celebrate John in your own special way
