Mrs. Nancy Fisk Loadenthal

Mrs. Nancy Fisk Loadenthal

It is with great sadness that we share the news of Nancy’s passing, peacefully at home, Wednesday, July 7th, 2021, following a two and a half year struggle with colon cancer. She had family by her side and was surrounded by love. We feel so grateful to have known Nancy, and for the love, patience and wisdom she shared with us throughout her life.

Nancy grew up in Abbotsford, Quebec and graduated from Granby High School. She held a BA in Fine Arts and a Graduate Diploma in Education from Bishop’s University. Nancy was very active throughout the years both as a parent volunteer, and as a teacher at Ayer's Cliff Elementary School. In recent years, she had been happily retired and enjoyed painting and gardening.

Nancy will be lovingly remembered by her husband and partner of 49 years, Barry, her children, Jessica, Rebecca (Michael), and Kyel. Nancy will also be remembered by her six grandchildren, Oliver, Naomi, Gwendolyn, Daniel, Liam and Molly, by her siblings, Judith (Jim), David (Christine), Ron (Marie-Cécile), her brother-in-law, Brian, and by her mother-in-law, Charlotte. Nancy was predeceased by her parents, Dorothy and Sydney, and her sister, Penny.

Due to ongoing health & safety restrictions in the province, a memorial service will be scheduled sometime within the coming year. Please reach out to the family directly if you would like to be informed once something is planned.

Memorial donations can be made to Colorectal Cancer Canada or an environmental charity of your choice.

I had the pleasure of teaching with Nancy at Princess Elizabeth Elementary. Nancy was always kind and gentle. She was always calm even under pressure. What qualities in a teacher!
I was saddened to hear of her passing. I just lost my father so I know the emptiness left by the passing of a loved one.
May the good memories carry you through these tough times.
