Mr. Gordon Walter Heale

Mr. Gordon Walter Heale

It is with profound sadness that the family of Gordon Walter Heale announce his passing at a Covid Care Centre in Sherbrooke on Tuesday, December 22, 2020.

Gordie came full circle, as he was born March 29, 1946 at Sherbrooke just a few short months after his parents emigrated from St John’s, Newfoundland and was just 3 months short of his 75th birthday.
His earlier years were spent in Richmond and Melbourne with his family. As a teenager he resided at the Dixville Home, QC, one of their first residents and became part of the "Dixville Family" for almost 50 years. He lived in Coaticook for a time and most recently at Place Sanborn in Ayer's Cliff.

Gordie was predeceased by his beloved parents Maisie Florence (Parsons) (1915-2008) and Robert Beaumont Hamel Heale (1916-2000).
Mourning his passing are his brother Robert ‘Bobby’ (Vernalyn ‘Lynn’) and nephews Bob (Nancy) and Tom; his sister Shirley (Elmer Cain) and their children Tracy (Fabian Barry), Terry (Janet) and Aaron (Rachael) and many grand nieces and nephews.

Our hearts are heavy that we couldn't be with Gordie to comfort him in his final hours.
We are thankful for the long life he did have.
When we can gather as a family his urn will be placed along side his parents, in All Saints Cemetery, Cannington, ON.

We are grateful for and appreciate the special care Gordie has received from the staff, families and care givers of the different homes where he has resided.

Hello, some may not know who I am, so I will tell you. I am the widow of Henry Heale from St. John's, NF. His father Arthur Heale was also at Beaumont Hamel during the war with the Royal Newfoundland Regiment. On behalf of that side of the family I send my sincere condolence to Gordie's family. So very sorry that he had this dreaded virus. May the good Lord comfort and sustain you through this sad time, and protect the rest of the family from this pandemic. Rest in Peace.
